AI Mixing and Mastering Tool

Mix your stems with presets or advanced controls, let Nova apply changes from prompts, then move to mastering and export your mastered WAV or mixed stems.

Last updated: 1/6/2026

Welcome to the Kitchen.

Youโ€™ve categorized your stems (your separate audio tracks), told Nova your vibe, and now youโ€™ve arrived at the Mixing Page. This is where you cook.

The interface is designed to let you stay creative, but give you surgical control when you need it.

1. The Prep: Fixing Timing & Clean Up

Before you add effects, you need to make sure the performance is tight. Look at the Toolbar at the top of your screen.

  • Adjust Timing: Did a vocal come in slightly late? Select this tool and drag the waveform left or right to line it up with the groove.
  • Eraser Tool: See a gap in the audio with some breath noise or a click? Use the eraser to silence it instantly.
  • Solo (S) & Mute (M): Use the buttons on each track to listen to stems in isolation. This is the best way to catch mistakes before they end up in the final master.

2. Shaping the Sound: Two Ways to Mix

Every track (Beat, Instruments, Vocals) has two "Modes" you can switch between, depending on how deep you want to go.

Mode A: Simple mode (Quick Actions)

  • Default View: Click on any track to see the Preset Browser.
  • How it works: Browse Cryo Presets or Community Presets to instantly apply a professional effect chain to your track.
  • Best for: Getting a great sound in seconds without thinking about technical details.

Mode B: Advanced Settings (Manual Control)

  • How to access: Click the Advanced Tab inside the track settings. This swaps out the simple preset menu for a dashboard of faders and knobs.
  • The Controls: Here you can manually tweak the Compressor (for punch), EQ (for tone), Reverb/Delay (for space), Saturation (for warmth) and many more.
  • Best for: When you want to fine-tune a preset or build a sound from scratch.

3. Make It Easy For You: Use Nova

Stuck on a sound? You don't have to touch a single knob.

  • Type into the Prompt Bar at the bottom of the screen.
  • Try this: "Make the ad-libs sound wide and distant," or "The beat needs more thump." Nova will adjust the Advanced Settings for you instantly.

4. The Finish Line: The Mastering Page

Once your mix feels balanced, click "Next" to move to the Mastering Page.

  • What is this? This is the final polish station. While mixing focuses on individual ingredients, Mastering treats the whole dish.
  • The Controls: Use the macro sliders to adjust the overall Width, Loudness, and EQ Balance of the entire song.
  • A/B Test: Toggle the โ€˜Raw vs. Mixed vs. Masterโ€™ switch to compare versions and hear exactly how much punch, volume, and clarity Nova has added.โ€

5. Export & Extras

Ready to serve? Click Download.

  • Mastered WAV: Your final, radio-ready song.
  • Mixed Stems: Download the separated tracks (stems) with all the mixing effects applied (perfect for collaborations).
  • Bonus Tools: Need a visualizer for Instagram or TikTok? Click the Promo Video link to head over to our partner tool and generate one in seconds.
