Viewing the Timeline: Timestamps and Zoom

Where do I see the time on my track?

Timestamps are always visible on the track view when hovering over the waveform, so you can see exactly where you are in the song at any point. There's nothing to turn on.

How do I zoom in on the waveform?

Use the zoom button in the header of the tool. It lets you magnify the waveform at 2x, 4x, 8x, or 16x, so you can line up edits and adjustments to a precise moment in the track.
