Quick answers to the questions we hear most from artists using Cryo Mix.

General Articles

Billing, Subscription, and Usage Limits

Your subscription renews monthly on your original signup date. Billing is monthly, and there's no usage cap within your plan.

Uploading a Reference Track for Mastering

At the mastering stage you can upload a reference track to match its tone, loudness, and EQ. Requires the Creator plan or higher.

Troubleshooting: No Sound, Only Noise, or Muted Tracks Still Audible

Playback problems are usually a Safari issue, switch browsers. And note: muting keeps a track in the mix, set volume to 0 to remove it.

Manually Adjusting Track Volume and Levels

Adjust any track with its fader on the left of the stem, or ask Nova. How Nova balances a mix depends on the full context of your tracks.

Viewing Applied Effects and Adjustment History

See applied effects per stem in the advanced settings signal chain, and open your full change log from the history button in the header.

Viewing the Timeline: Timestamps and Zoom

Timestamps are always shown on the track view. Use the zoom button in the header to magnify the waveform up to 16x.

Saving Your Session and Resuming Later

Your project saves automatically, so you can close the tab and return anytime. Settings don't auto-apply to newly added tracks.

Saving and Reusing Presets

Save your current settings as a named preset in the mixing stage, then reuse it in any project. Presets aren't available in mastering.

Managing Tracks: Adding, Deleting, Reordering, and Replacing

Reorder stems within a category by dragging, delete and re-upload to replace a track, and keep in mind tracks are project-specific.

Using the Cut Tool

The cut tool lives in the toolbar. Drag across the waveform to select and trim a section. No extra credits required.

Comparing Your Original Track to the Mixed and Mastered Version

You can compare your original track against the finished mix and master at the mastering stage. Real-time A/B during mixing is coming soon.

Understanding the Cryo Mix Audio Watermark

The "Subscribe to Cryo Mix" voice in your playback is the preview watermark. Any paid plan removes it.
